In a very full day, which started with a visit to the Italian Navy Sail Training Ship Vespucci the race officer, Costanzo Villa managed to squeeze in more round robin races and a first to 2 win final. Despite having led throughout the round robin series, the team from Costa Smeralda were not to find the knockout all to their liking. The Bavarians who had gone from strength to strength gloriously forced the Italians to a third race final. But the race and the event went to Costa Smeralda. The final day of round robin racing changed at the last minute the positions of 3rd and 4th, with the Thames breaking through to take third against a disappointed Royal Yacht Squadron. Congratulations to the organisers and the brilliant host for another amazing event.
