How does it work?

The ranking is calculated using your best 4 scores from the last 12 months, together with the best 4 scores you got between 12 and 24 months. We have a ranking for skippers and a ranking for teams.
The score for an event is calculated in the following way:

points = event points*genderfactor*gradefactor*yearfactor

year factor

For events in the first year this factor is 6 and for results acchieved between 12 and 24 months this factor is 3. Why 3&6? because we like to make it easy and have the same system as matchracing

grade factor

There are 5 different levels of grade events:

gender factor

Teams that sail with the same amount of men and women will receive 15% extra points, so the gender factor is 1,15 in that case.

Points are rewarded for your final place in the event results:
