The 2K circuit arrived in Santander for their first event in mainland Spain with the regular teams from the Netherlands, UK and Italy plus two local teams.

The wind was slow to kick in but at 2pm it was stable enough to start racing. The race committee eager to make progress pushed through to 7pm with teams racing in a glorious 10 knots with spectacular views over the hills to the east.

At the end of day one Serpentine and Royal Dart lead the way with no losses closely followed by Royal Thames and the local new comers Santander.
