Day 1 ..Serpentine and DMTRA lead after a fantastic first day of racing. This is our first event in Formia, just down the road from Gaeta. The clubhouse built over the remains of a Roman Villa with fabulous views over the bay with Gaeta in the distance. Sailing literally just outside the club meant that teams can rest ashore between races. The brilliant race team managed to get a remarkable 18 races completed… despite a small hang up when a fishing net drifted into the prestart area.

Many new faces and many familiar, all keen to get back into racing.

At this evening’s dinner hosted by the Yacht Club Caposele Filippo Molinari handed the batten of 2K Presidency over to DJ Korpershoek of the DMTRA.

With great breezes forecast for tomorrow this could be a record breaking event, and our first in the RS21.
