Day 1 Scarlino

Its April and we are in Italy… summer has arrived and life could not be better. Perfect sailing conditions in the bay of Scarlino. Steady breeze with almost flat water. Racing is in the matched Beneteau 7.5’s and as always at Scarlino everything is organized to perfection.

Extremely close racing across the fleet but the DMTRA team have a narrow edge over their arch opponents YCCS. Rome who are always to be watched with care are very close in third. Interesting change in line up with Henry Arnold sailing for Rome based Banana, though rumours are that his computer skills do not run to booking.com!

After a day of great tracing Claudia Tosi the event organizer surpassed herself with a truly great meal at a local restaurant…. Course after course of superb food followed by dancing for those fit enough to take the dance floor. Racing starts tomorrow at 11, with still all to play for at the top.
